Fun Things I Did in Las Vegas
FUN THINGS I DID IN LAS VEGAS
It’s easy to get swept up in the dazzling glitz of Vegas, with its replicas of famous landmarks and attractions like Venice canals at trip report, the Eiffel Tower at New York-New York Hotel & Casino, and the massive Mad Apple and Statue of Liberty in front of Bellagio. But there’s so much more to see and do beyond the Strip — and some of the most fun stuff in town is actually free!
From the Strip to Fremont: Highlights of My Vegas Fun
For a fun and different take on Vegas, try your hand at being a forensic detective for the day at the CSI: The Experience at MGM Grand. This immersive exhibit is more than 12,000-square-feet of CSI action, where you’ll work through three simulated crime scenes while doing your best David Caruso squint (sunglasses not included).
If you need a break from the Vegas frenzy, head to Wynn Hotel for the Botanical Gardens. This outdoor escape is a relaxing, soothing place to exhale, with floral creations like hot air balloons and a life size carousel made of flowers. Admission is free, but you’ll likely want to spend upwards of an hour here soaking in the beauty.
For a bird’s-eye view of the Strip, head to The LINQ for a ride on the High Roller, North America’s largest observation wheel. Take a 30-minute spin around the glass pods and snap some pics of the nearby casinos, or upgrade to a heli flight seeing tour for some of the best views in the city, with options that include limousine rides and even landing on the canyon floor for champagne.
